'Time for booze!': Host Graham Norton, 52, tickles audience at TV BAFTA Awards... before collecting Comedy gong

He was, of course, the host of this year's BAFTA Television Awards.
But Graham Norton also found himself winning one the evening's accolades in what must've been a welcome double-whammy for the affable star.
Not only did the 52 year-old host the show at London's Theatre Royal, but he also collected the Best Comedy Entertainment Programme accolade.

Dressed in his typically garish style, the Irish performer wore a migraine-inducing jacket with black trousers, shirt and bow-tie.
Keen to cut a youthful figure, he also sported a East London-inspired beard in the hope of appearing on-trend, and he certainly did.
Still, his performance as the presenter seemed to largely impress guests and viewers alike.

Mixed response: Deliberately topical, his jokes ranged from the recent General Election to the recent jeremy Clarkson furore with BBC's Top Gear

Deliberately topical, his jokes ranged from the recent General Election to the recent jeremy Clarkson furore with BBC's Top Gear.
'The election results are in and the country is largely blue. Very blue. Really, really blue,' he quipped, before: 'We bid farewell to Clegg, Miliband and Farage. On the up side, the makers of Top Gear have had an idea.'
He also made some industry gags, including: 'The general public – so close to showbiz fame and yet so far. A bit like the winners of the Voice.'
Jokes all-round: Graham kept it topical with his presenting of the BAFTAs, mocking the recent election among other things

But, by the end of the evening he was also presented with the gong for his TV series.
Accepting the accolade, he said: 'Really!? Thank you, that's very nice. Now, lots of the team are coming up. All I would say is we're all lucky here, we're nominees and in good things.
'But most of us have been in great big strinkers, turkeys so big they can't fit in a great big oven. But when you're in a stinker, you never blame yourself, it's never your fault you always say 'oh I don't know why they broadcast it then etc.'
'So equally when you're in something good, it's nothing to do with you either. It's all these people.'
