Taking fashion advice from Kanye again? Kim Kardashian and her rapper husband arrive in New York in matching hoodies and jeans

He's been instrumental in her fashion transformation, but it seems as if Kim Kardashian is also taking inspiration from husband Kanye West's own personal style.

The couple jetted in to New York together on Tuesday, wearing matching black hoodies and jeans, although of course they each put their personal spin on it.

34-year-old Kim's faded skinny jeans features on-trend rips in the knees and were moulded to her world-famous derriere.

She added some height to her diminutive frame with a pair of skyscraper open-toed boots while her hooded sweatshirt featured flared sleeves.

While her face was flawless after her flight, some of Kim's make-up appeared to have rubbed off on the collar of her top, leaving an unsightly stain.

Kanye wore am Antwerp, Belgium hoodie, black jeans and tan desert boots for his own low-key look.

Meanwhile, Kim is one of the ladies to be honoured at Variety's Power Of Women: New York luncheon on Friday.

But the reality star proved that even powerful women must submit to the customs of airport security when she was seen removing her designer high-heeled booties and walking through the metal detector barefoot before they caught their flight out of LAX on Monday.

The mother-of-one wore her jet-black hair pulled back in a neat ponytail and wide-framed shades concealed her dark eyes from view, while her lips bore the slightest trace of pink gloss.

When she first arrived to LAX, Kim was in no mood for chit chat while strolling through the terminal in her black spike-heeled boots, stopping only for security check.

Kim's work with the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, meanwhile, is what prompted this trip, earning her a place at the Variety's Power Of Women: New York luncheon.

She joins Glenn Close, Whoopi Goldberg, Lena Dunham and Rachel Weisz who will all be named as an Inspiration Impact Honoree at the publication's April 24 event, which will pay tribute to some of the industry's most charitable women.

The hospital is no doubt close to Kim's heart, who has paid visits to the medical centre with her sister Kendall Jenner and husband Kanye in the past.
