'That's why it's down to her knees!': Doting dad David Beckham reveals he's BANNED wife Victoria from cutting Harper's hair

It's plain to see that little Harper Beckham is the apple of her father David Beckham's eye.

And the retired footballer has now revealed he won't ever let his four-year-old daughter get her tresses trimmed because he wants her to have long, princess hair.

The 40-year-old hunk - who also has sons Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, and Cruz, 10 - joked that he has categorically banned his wife Victoria from taking her to a salon.

Speaking to Yahoo! Style, he explained: 'About a year ago, my wife said, "Maybe we should cut Harper's hair." And I was like, "No! We need to grow it. Do. Not. Touch."'

David, whose mother Sandra was a hairdresser, also revealed that he sometimes tests his own skills by giving his three sons home buzz cuts, but he wouldn't dare go near the scissors.

'To have a daughter is a whole different story. I'm not saying I love my daughter more, but the boys are independent', he explained, according to The Sun.

The tattooed star is fiercely protective of his little girl and has already decided that he's going to give her future suitors a hard time.

Asked how he would feel about Harper dating, he retorted: 'She's not going out. She's going to be like Rapunzel - up in the tower.'

David has also confessed to being a complete pushover when it comes to disciplining the four-year-old and is a lot 'stricter' on his boys.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he said: 'I have no power with that little girl - no power whatsoever.

'I'm definitely stricter with the boys than I am Harper, which gets me in trouble with my wife of course.'

David also has several tattoo tributes to his daughter, including the words 'Pretty Lady' on his neck, which he got inked above am existing tattoo off her name this summer.
