Proud papa! Chris Brown dotes over daughter Royalty as he takes tot on the red carpet at Billboard Music Awards

It's been just two months since he found out, along with the rest of the world, that he had become a father.

And Chris Brown appears to be relishing his role as doting dad to 11-month-old Royalty as the singer took his precious girl to the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday.

The 26-year-old's adorable tot made her red carpet debut sitting happily in her pop's arms wearing a peach tutu dress, white jacket and mini Timberland boots.

Chris looked relaxed in a smart blazer with cropped trousers and a pair of embroidered loafers.

The Look At Me Now hit maker covered his eyes with sunglasses and accessorised with diamond stud earrings and a pendant necklace.

Chris has fully embraced fatherhood since it was discovered in March that he had a daughter with a former fling, Nia Guzman.

Upon finding out he was a father, the star was reportedly delighted and has been trying to get the former model to move to LA so he can be part of the girl's life.

'He's asked Nia to move to LA with their daughter and he'll foot the bill for housing,' a source told TMZ last month.

'He's not romantically involved with Nia, but we're told he genuinely wants a meaningful relationship with Royalty. He's saying he'd like to see her every day.'

Chris and Nia were also said to be in 'negotiations' over child support in April.

The R&B star debuted his little girl on his Instagram last month with an affectionate photo of him kissing the little one and captioned it: 'God has blessed me with my twin. #ROYALTY'

Chris is up for Top R&B Artist as well as best R&B Album for X and Top R&B Song for Loyal.

Sunday night's awards will make room for some of the biggest names in music including Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Iggy Azalea, and Justin Timberlake to name but a few.

Katy and Taylor face off for the Top Artist award, while also nominated in the same category are Ariana Grande, One Direction and Sam Smith.

Swift and Perry will also duke it out for Top Female Artist. In that category as well is Grande, Iggy Azalea and Meghan Trainor.

Billboard is a chart that tracks music popularity and is also a publication that covers the music business. Billboard has been hosting an annual awards ceremony since 1989 before going dormant in 2007. The event returned in 2011.
