Mel B opts for comfort over style as she keeps it casual in baggy orange ensemble for a day of interviews in New York

She first found fame as a Spice Girl but these days Mel B is more famous for discovering up and coming stars.

The 39-year-old former popstar was on the promotional trail for America's Got Talent in New York on Tuesday, where she made sure to grab attention in a baggy bright orange ensemble.

Mel did a number of interviews, including one with Al Roker on the Today show, and while her outfit was decidedly casual, Mel spiced it up with some dangerously high heels.

She wore her hair in an upstyle and appeared fresh, despite her busy day of press.

Mel appears on the judging panel of the show with supermodel Heidi Klum, radio presenter Howard Stern and comedian Howie Mandel.

Meanwhile, it was recently claimed that Mel pulled out of attending Spice Girl Geri Halliwell's wedding at the last minute.

According to The Sun even though Geri had made Mel B's three-year-old daughter Madison a bridesmaid for the ceremony, she only found out that her bandmate could not attends hours before her church ceremony.

A source told the paper: 'Mel called Geri with hardly any notice to say she couldn't make it.

'Geri was annoyed but just rolled her eyes and blamed it on "typical Mel". All events she's involved in end up full of drama'.

However, the paper also claimed that an insider said the reason behind Mel B's lack of appearance was due to her child's school commitments.

Mel b took to Twitter to show love to her blushing bride as she wrote: '@GeriHalliwell wishing you the most beautiful special day of your life,I love you xxxx'.

Victoria Beckham also sent Geri her best wishes by posting a touching throwback to their Spice Girl heyday on Instagram.

Victoria - who was unable to attend Geri's ceremony because she was at Singapore fashion week - posted a picture of the pair dressed as their alter-egos.

Accompanying the snap, Victoria wrote: 'My beautiful friend @gerihalliwellofficial Sending u love and happiness.'

'I'm so sad I couldn't be with you on your special day x I love u x'.

She also shared a picture of the band on Twitter saying: 'I love u girls x Happy Friday x vb'.
