He COLE the show! The Voice winner Jermain gets the seal of approval from Cheryl in unexpected phone call to will.i.am during the final

She may be a judge on rival TV talent show The X Factor, but Cheryl Cole has offered her seal of approval to The Voice winner.
Following the live performance from Jermain Jackman, the former Girls Aloud star called her manager - fellow Voice mentor Will.I.Am - to offer her congratulations.
Unfortunately, in a case of either bad timing or shameless PR, the call - which was received on the Black Eyed Peas' star's watch - came during the live final.

While critiquing his protege's performance, the US performer interrupted his delivery to take the call.
Although poor reception meant the conversation could hardly be heard, Will.I.Am relayed the message saying: 'Cheryl Cole said you were amazing.'
At that point the crowd of the BBC show erupted and TV co-host, Emma Willis, seemed stunned by the gesture.

Jermain performed a version of Miley Cyrus' hit song Wrecking Ball with something of a shaky start due to a few flat notes.
Featuring him descending onto the stage from a thirty-foot high elevation, he looked every inch the pop star. By the end of the rendition he was back on form, with Will.I.Am standing on his chair in an act of overt support.
Bizarrely, even Labour MP Ed Balls tweeted his backing. He wrote: 'I thought was fantastic tonight once again

The teenage politician, who said he wants to be 'the first singing black prime minister', will be hoping to pick up votes in the final but knows his image might work against him.
He said: 'I'm certainly not the typical 18 years old. In fact, I get called Granddad because of the way I act and my interests.'
Despite being the rank outsider, he is confident in his ability, saying: 'Music is a massive part of my life, it's what I do.'
