She may not be best known for her demure ensembles, but Amber Rose seemed to want to maintain her modesty at a July 4 party.

The 29-year-old sported a pretty pastel blue and green cover up over a white swimsuit with matching sandals.

However, the wrap didn't quite manage to keep the star from flashing the flesh - at one point it slipped down to show off her pert posterior.

The star teamed her ensemble with a chunky gold necklace and several bracelets and subtle earrings.

Dark eye make-up, black nail varnish and lip gloss completed the look.

She happily sat on the sand alongside a group of friends with drinks and snacks to mark the American holiday.

Later she was spotted sitting on a white chair, smiling and laughing on her bright pink cell phone.

The star posed for a photograph with Paris Hilton who was also at the bash. 'Happy 4th of July! From Malibu Barbie,' the model tweeted alongside the snapshot.

There appeared to be no sign of Amber's baby son Sebastian who was born in February.

Last week, Amber and her rapper beau Wiz Khalifa are reported to have visited a Los Angeles court house to obtain their marriage licence.

Once the couple receive their license they have 90 days to get married before it expires.

The pair announced their engagement in March the previous year, but have not revealed a wedding date.

Amber already calls the father of her child her 'husband'.

Speaking before the birth of Sebastian, Khalifa controversially said he plans to teach his child about marijuana.

Asked by E! News last October if he was planning to stop smoking he said: 'I think it's all about how you're raised with it.'

'Of course, I'm not going to be smoking right there over the baby, because smoke in general and being high is not good for a kid. None of that.

'But definitely he's going to know what it is - and he'll know the difference between being a child and not being able to use it and being an adult and knowing how to use it.'
