She is grappling with rumours of friend Katy Perry growing ever closer to ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson.
And Kristen Stewart certainly looked downcast as she tended to business in Beverly Hills on Thursday.
The 23-year-old trekked to a meeting all by herself, and looked far from happy as she walked the streets.

Imitating her less-than-stellar mood, a grey sweatshirt hung loosely around the petite Twilight star.
Scrawled across the chest were the letters USATF, likely standing for United States of America Track and Field.
Skintight jeans hugged the starlet's slim pins, and she rolled them at the ankle to better expose her simple black trainers.
Though she kept her eyes safely under the protection of sunglasses, Kristen looked none too pleased to have to head out into the beaming light of Los Angeles.

Her outing comes after sources say she's not handling her breakup very well.

Kristen feels 'betrayed' over Robert Pattinson's growing closeness to Katy Perry, friends have revealed.

Sitting on the singer's lap and cuddling up to her at the Kids Choice Awards in March, Kristen, 23, showed just how close she was to pop star Katy, 28.
However, a source told MailOnline that Kristen feels 'incredibly down right now and betrayed' at rumours of a romance between Katy and her ex-boyfriend and former co-star Robert.

And the petite brunette has now cut off all ties with Katy - despite greeting her with a big hug at the Met Ball in New York last month - and a source said: 'Kristen is in a certain state of denial. She can't let go of Rob or get over him.

'She keeps trying to contact Robert and find out what he is doing but her attempts to see Rob have been rebuffed. Rob is not responding to her.'
Robert, 27, and Katy were spotted together on Saturday night at at the Icelandic singer Bjork's concert at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles - as the actor is said to be leaning on the chart-topping star for support following his split from Kristen.
Although the pair arrived separately they sat next together during the show.
While Katy is allegedly back on-again with singer John Mayer, a source told E! News: 'They are just hanging out, they're not putting a label on it.'
Rumors of reconciliation first began when Perry and Mayer hung out at the 'Part of Me' singer's holiday BBQ bash at her new Hollywood Hills home.
Robert and Katy intially sparked rumours after being spotted sitting in on strangers' wedding rehearsal last month at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California.
'Katy and Rob were just sitting next to each other watching the wedding rehearsal in the main courtyard area,' a source told People magazine of their day out .
'There was no PDA between them.

And another source said that Robert has denied any romance between him and Katy - saying she is merely being a good friend.

Meanwhile, friends of Robert have told MailOnline that Kristen is still so wrapped up in Rob that she is trying to emulate his film career.
Robert has been wanting to shoot war film Mission Blacklist about a soldier on the trail of Saddam Hussein for two years and will hopefully be filming in Iraq by end of year.
A source told MailOnline: 'Rob's camp was suprised to hear Kristen had signed on to another War on Terror movie Camp X-Ray about a female soldier stationed in Guantanamo Bay which she will film late summer.
'Rob is convinced Kristen is now trying to duplicate his film choices with Camp X-Ray which is being directed by Peter Sattler, an obscure first-time director.'
Meanwhile Robert has pulled out of starring in heist thriller Hold Onto Me opposite Carey Mulligan.
Director James Marsh is still making the film with Carey next year but they are searching for a leading man.
Pattinson is the new face of Dior Homme fragrance in a rumoured $12million it was announced this week.
The fashion house tweeted a handsome portrait of the star on Wednesday and said: 'Dior is delighted to announce that actor Robert Pattinson is to be the new face of Dior Homme fragrance.'
