The countdown is on! Kylie Minogue goes from make-up free to ultra-glam in new behind-the-scenes selfies showing her preparing for her Kiss Me Once tour

With Kylie Minogue's Kiss Me Once tour kicking off on Wednesday, the Australian singer has been doing her best to get fans excited for the on-stage extravaganza. 

The 43-year-old musician has been doing a daily countdown to her six-month tour which will see her hit stages across the UK, Europe and her home Down Under.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the singing sensation shared a fun selfie as she reminded fans the tour opens in a matter of just four days - showing her in a less-than-glam rehearsal outfit of trackpants and without make-up, before a later snap showing her as her more familiar sultry self.

Sporting a sleek black blouse, the beauty stared into a mirror while making a peace sign with her fingers.

Clutching onto her phone with her left hand, the singer took her stunning style to the next level, letting her thin shoulder straps drop slightly and reveal a generous glimpse of her toned arms.

While her lips and stunning facial features have been the focus of her posts in recent days, earlier in the week the singer gave fans a hint of what her on-stage ensembles could look like.

On Thursday she shared a photo of herself in a black one-piece, teamed with racy fishnet stockings.

Last Wednesday marked exactly a week until her first show at Echo Arena in London's Liverpool, and she gave fans a true insight into her rehearsals.

Completely make-up free her skin is simply iridescent in the light.

Kylie's tour will begin in her adopted home of England travelling through Liverpool, Manchester, London, Birmingham, Nottingham then heading through Monaco.

She'll showcase her tour through Europe stopping in Spain, France, Hungary, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Belgium, Switzerland then back through Britain and Ireland before heading Down Under.

She'll be back in Australia for her first concert in Perth on March 14.

Performing in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth in March 2015, Kylie's 'Kiss Me Once' Tour will be her first since the stripped back Anti-Tour club shows in 2012.

It will have been almost four years since her last

national

arena tour on Aussie shores.

'I've absolutely loved being back in Australia and now I'm even more excited to announce the dates for my Australian Kiss Me Once Tour in 2015' she said on her website.

'Bringing my show back home is always an amazing feeling so I can't wait. Get your dancing shoes on!'

The musical powerhouse's schedule has been jam-packed this year with commitments to filming the UK and Australian versions of The Voice, so it's hard to imagine when she had time to put together an extravagant tour.

Earlier this year she appeared as a coach alongside international stars Ricky Martin, Joel Madden and Will.I.Am for the Down Under series of the show.

While the 2014 winner was not from Team Kylie, she was supporting of Anja Nissen's win.

She has also revealed that she worked on Nick Cave's film 200,000 Days on Earth.

In the semi-documentary Kylie magically appears in Nick's car discussing her former love Michael Hutchence, the former INXS frontman, while Cave talks about his estranged guitarist.

While X Factor hopefuls usually dream of stepping away from their everyday lives to become singing superstars, one contestant is thrilled to still be working at a shoe shop.

When Kerrianne Covell, 23, made her way onto the stage at London's Wembley Arena during Saturday night's episode, she revealed that judge Simon Cowell saved her job.

She said: 'My last audition, Simon rang my manager at work... I got put down as AWOL and I could've got sacked.'

Judges Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Mel B and Louis Walsh all appeared to be emotionally moved by the performance, while the impressed audience gave her a standing ovation.

'It's lovely to see you all again... I'm really happy to be here,' said the Sussex girl, as she took the stage in a stunning retro grey dress with a scooped neckline.

As judge Simon Cowell questioned about her hobbies, Chloe drew laughs when she was asked if she had any pets.

'No, but I had a boyfriend that behaved like one,' she said.

For performance, Chloe opted to sing Why Don't You Do Right? - made famous by Peggy Lee - after listening to an adaptation of the song while watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

She drew cheers from the first note, with one audience member comparing her to Marilyn Monroe as she danced seductively, though slightly nervously, on stage.

'There's something really, really fascinating and mesmerising about you,' gushed an impressed Cheryl after her performance.

'I love you, too,' said Chloe, before she received a unanimous yes vote from the judges.

Nightclub singer Fleur East, 26 also proved popular with the judges, after taking on board Simon's criticisms that her initial audition was 'boring'.

The east Londoner, who competed on the show in 2005 as part of the group Addictive Ladies, wowed the judges with her rendition of Chris Brown's Fine China.

Showing off her rippling abs in a white sports bra, patterned black leggings and a red plaid shirt tied around her waist, Fleur showed off a range of energetic dance moves, much to the delight of the audience and the judges.

'You're like a different artist,' cooed Simon before Fleur got a unanimous yes vote.

However, things got a little contentious when Rachel ‘Raign’ Rabbin made her way onto the stage.

The 31-year-old's decision to break into a long monologue about her background in singing drew unrest from the audience and judges not least of all Cheryl, who openly showed her distaste.

After performing her song Don't Let Me Go - which was well received by the audience - Cheryl sat motionless, looking highly unimpressed.

Simon said: 'For whatever reason, people don't like you before you sing... You do drone on a bit,' before reluctantly giving her a deciding yes vote.

Emily Middlemas, 15, was a much less divisive presence on the stage when she performed Coldplay's Yellow as she played the guitar.

'I really, really can't believe I'm here today,' said the bubbly Glaswegian before her performance.

Wearing layered cream shorts, a black crop top and white trainers, the adorable brunette gave a strong vocal performance as judges Cheryl and Mel sung the lyrics to each other.

'I think this girl is seriously, seriously good,' said Simon at the end of the performance, who led a unanimous decision to put her through to the next stage. 

Stephanie Nala, 20, who became familiar to TV fans when she competed as part of the group The Luminites on Britain's Got Talent, also drew nods when she sang Baby D's Let Me Be Your Fantasy.

Wearing a black bandanna crop top and black ripped skinny jeans, the beauty was told by Cheryl after her performance: 'You do something to a room. You mesmerise people.'

Less elated was mother-of-two Michelle Lawson, who at 37 saw her participation on the show as a last-shot attempt at hitting the big time.

After Louis branded her rendition of Jennifer Hudson's And I Am Telling You 'a little shouty', Cheryl criticised Michelle's 'vocal acrobatics'.

After each judge voted no, Michelle surmised: 'Devastated is an understatement,' before making a rapid departure from the stage.

Next up was 28-year-old songwriter Scarlett Quinn from Brighton, who had originally auditioned with her husband Ashley before being advised by judges to break away on her own.

She dedicated her version of Christina Aguilera's Ain't No Other Man to her husband, who stood backstage as he supported her.

Flashing her shapely legs in a pair of high-waisted denim shorts, Scarlett showed off a range of sexy dance moves as the audience cheered her on.

'I don't think that was the best audition, but there's something interesting about you,' Cheryl told her after her performance.

'Imagine being married to that,' quipped Simon as an elated Scarlett embraced her husband backstage after getting yes votes.

The show ended with a performance from Croydon van driver Ben Haenow.

Despite having his girlfriend Jessica there to support him, he still sang the praises of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, who he described as 'probably one of the best looking women I've ever seen in my life... she smells like angels and roses'.

And while Ben was impressed with Cheryl's looks, his performance of Rolling Stones classic Wild Horses also impressed the former Girls Aloud star and her fellow judges.

'You've got a gravel to your voice that's so genuine and I thought that was the perfect song choice for your audition,' said the Geordie judge.

Ben looked emotional as all of the judges gave him a yes vote.
