Gabrielle Union became one of the happy statistics as she announced her engagement to Miami Heat basketball player Dwyane Wade on Saturday.
The 41-year-old Think Like A Man actress shared the thrilling news on her Twitter page along with a picture of the spectacular ring on her finger, a square-cut diamond set on what appears to be a platinum band.

'Sooooo this happened...#Yessss,' Gabrielle excitedly wrote in the caption.
'She said YES!!!' Dwyane, 31, echoed on his own Twitter account, alongside a post of the same photo.
The photo is a close-up of just her hand wearing the diamond ring and resting gently on Dwyane's fingertips.

The couple began dating in 2009 and, despite their obvious affection for one another, broke up briefly earlier this year.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show, Dwyane told Jay Leno: 'For us this was a big year for our relationship from the standpoint she was shooting her show, Being Mary Jane, and gone most of the year.
'I was dealing with my injuries, trying to win a championship. So we kind of took a step back.
'At the end of the day, we came back together and said we want to continue this and we want to get better each day.

Baby fever: Gabrielle, 41, indicated last year that she would be up to having a baby after she was wed

'She’s been with me and I’ve been with her all summer long. We’re going strong now.'

Dwyane is father to an 11-year-old son, Zaire, from a previous marriage.
