Chris Brown's monster murals on wall of his Hollywood Hills home are painted over after he loses initial bid to keep them

Chris Brown has had his monster graffiti mural on the exterior wall of his Hollywood Hills home painted over after losing his legal battle with authorities.
The singer, 24, had been fined $376 in May for 'unpermitted and excessive signage' after spraying the walls with cartoonish blob-shaped monsters.
However, despite claims he is 'still pursuing' his legal battle to keep them, three workmen were spotted painting over them with grey paint on Thursday.

Chris spray painted the 8ft high monsters, in pink, red, brown and white, on the side of his $1.5million three-bedroom home in April.
Authorities were alerted in May after neighbours complained the wall art was detrimental to the area and it scared their children.
At the time, City Councilman Tom LaBonge said: 'They jump right out at you. They aren't just at the curb by the bins. It is all the way up the side of the house. I can see them in a commercial area.
'There were complaints from the neighbours and the neighbourhood association, and city code inspectors acted appropriately and required the homeowner be in compliance with city codes.'
The Fine China star filed an appeal against LA's Department of Building and Safety, claiming the mural 'enhanced the architectural and aesthetic features of the residential property'.

He took to Twitter last month after he was fined and told parents to keep their children inside.
He tweeted: 'It's art. There are scarier creatures on Harry potter. Get a [expletive] life!
He also added that he would 'paint until my hands fall off'.
After the department denied his appeal, Chris ended up hiring workmen to paint over the monsters.

However, sources close to the singer told TMZ.com that he claims it was his decision to remove them, not a response to the order.
When Chris originally filed an appeal in June, his lawyer Mark Geragos said: 'More importantly, however, the murals are a reflection of the homeowner's aesthetic taste and a reflection of free speech and expression protected by the First Amendment.'
Despite the rejection of the appeal, Geragos said told E! News that his client was 'still pursuing' the right to paint his exterior wall.
