After watching hoardes of hopefuls on America's Got Talent, Mel B was clearly ready to branch out in to something new.
Which might explain why she'll be starring in a new film called the Twelve Trees Of Christmas.
The 38-year old was seen on the set of the new Lifetime film wearing her festive finery and stepping through a blanket of thick snow.

Acting: Mel B had a wide grin on her face as she walked around in her snowy ensemble

Despite being in Canada, a country which stretches in to the Arctic Circle, the snow was fake as she was in the milder climes of Ontario.
Mel even commented about the stifling heat, Tweeting: 'On set today it's Xmas but eff me it's as hot as in Toronto right now.'

The vivacious Spice Girl was wearing a white coat, which seemed to be made of shearling or some sort of animal skin, and a pair of studded red heels.

From the side, her feet seemed to be thrown forward to an uncomfortable angle, but ever the trooper - and hardened stiletto fan - Mel didn't flinch.
It is not clear what the new film is about, but Mel seems to play a very glamorous character.
As well as her expensive looking coat and glitzy shoes, she had a Chanel bag over one arm, and her hands concealed in red leather gloves.
At one point she strolled arm in arm with a man in a suit, passing beneath some large candy canes which were suspended above a doorway.

And in keeping with the film's title, there were several Christmas trees littered around.
Mel has been learning that film making and acting isn't as easy as it looks.
On Tuesday she posted a photo of piles of scripts and wrote: 'Script for my "twelve trees of Christmas" life time movie,shooting starts tomoz arrrrhhh learning lines why is it sooo hard!! Any tips' [sic], clearly too worn out to use punctuation.
So it was no wonder to see that she had been taking some time to unwind and gather her thoughts in between takes on Thursday.
'Relaxing from in my break from my movie filming listening to Sade soooo relaxing,' she wrote alongside a picture of her lying in a dark room.
