Triple Honour! Yvonne Nelson, Majid Michel And John Dumelo Get Huge Recognitions

It’s like Christmas for Ghollywood as their illustrious screen idols get top recognition from different bodies. Plenty of smiles are on display as the reward for hard work, exemplary living and remarkable achievement finally gets to its deserved beneficiaries.
Topping the honour list are two of Ghana’s leading actors, Majid Michell and John Dumelo who were on April 10, 2013 honoured in Philadelphia, USA for their exemplary work as actors, as well as for maintaining a high responsible social conduct and their commitment to charity.
Unable to keep the plaudit to himself, John Dumelo took to instagram to share his joy with his fans. ‘History was made yesterday! Honoured by the city of Philadelphia for outstanding contribution to the African film industry and charity work. We are honoured to be honoured.’


Also in the same vein, star actress, Yvonne Nelson, still of Ghollywood origin was on Saturday April 13, 2013 honoured by Printex Limited Ghana, publishers of women magazine, GoWoman for her contribution towards the movie industry and for her efforts in increasing Glaucoma awareness in Ghana
This is fitting recognition after her achievements in launching her non-profit foundation Yvonne Nelson Glaucoma Foundation (YNGF) in 2010, focused on Glaucoma awareness, which have helped raise funds for hundreds of sufferers around the country.
The rising actress was also recognised for the impact she has had as an actress and producer.
